Subject: THE END OF MONOCHROMEMUSEUM INTERNET RADIO In its present format Sun Jul 05, 2009 2:17 pm
[b] After Nearly 4 years of Monochrome Museum Internet Radio. Moll & myself have decided to call a halt to playing regular indi music.
There are many reasons why we have come to this decision, time, change of lifestyle, circumstances, plus everyman and his dog are doing shows / podcasts.
We feel we have done our best to freely promote indie music over the years often without even a thank you by the artists we played .
The upside is, we have made friends with some fantastic musicians around the Globe, people that support & care Ooberbelly ( Jeff ) Joe Pop ( Dave ) Ian Babington The Leps Trunky ( he he ) he is a big lad David Francis Matt Dooner ( absolute gem )
We also must thank the regular supporters / bands we have featured who supported as much as they could. ( You Know Who You Are )
We are in the process of building a purpose built studio, in which to continue our future projects, recording, TV shows, Global collaborations, although Monochrome Musem Internet Radio is no more, rest assured you aint heard the last from us.
Thanks everyone
Moll & John xx

Dear Moll and John, we hope you are both keeping well and had a great time in the Isle of Wight, after four years of running MM Museum Radio I don't blame you for wanting a change in life style, both of you have done more than enough to promote indie music, we owe you both a huge thank you for being the first Internet radio station to take an interest in us and play our music, for that we are most greatfull and honered to have been part of it, as they say all good things come to an end, one door closes and another one opens, we wish you success in your future ventures what ever they will be, you both are exceptional people, kindest regards as ever, Viv, Paddy and Jamie who are still Leprechaun Water, PS hope we can still stay in touch by the forum etc, PPS it is nearly two years since Elite Fest,

Hi Moll and John,
Hope you're both keeping well. Viv and the Leps have probably already said everything that I would, and probably said it better (!), but I too wanted to say thanks for the support, wish you both the very best of luck in your new ventures, and to say again that anything I can do to help and support in the future don't be shy to ask. At the time of writing I'm looking forward to meeting David on Friday, and I'm listening to Harborough FM who've just said they're going to play a song and give the gig a plug. I hope we can all keep the GV vibe going for a long time yet!
Similarly to the Leps, you guys were one of the first shows to play and support my music. Given that my situation was one of someone who'd been out of music for a few years and was coming back into it wondering how he'd be received, you guys featuring 'Learning To Fly' and, later, 'tinseltown' was a huge boost to the confidence (as were the kind words and support of everyone else in the GV via Top of the Bats, MySpace etc). I also appreciate you making the effort to come down to Katies that night, especially as you were in the middle of moving - never a 'stress free' time for anyone!
Take care folks, all the best as always, and thanks again,

Hey Moll and John, just wanted to reiterate what Viv and Ian have said...you guys were the first to play my music (both Ube and Sol 3) and I'm forever grateful for that exposure. Will definately miss the show but I know no matter what you come up with next it will be certainly funny and enlightening! And I've made a bunch of new friends...can't beat that. You have my support no matter what you guys do next xo-oobs

Hi guys...all I can say is that I've made some very special friends because of MM and John and Moll's dedication and enthusiasm. I will miss the regular shows, they sure did cheer up a Monday morning at work and when you laugh out loud you know J&M have got something very special.
Thank you both and Ash for your support in The Flocking Bustards and Gowan and Cross and as with the rest of us that love what you do...we'll be there and look forward to a new Monochrome Museum.
Love ya both guys

Hi guys.
Very touching that you gave me a shout after all this time. You guys have been part of the very small number of people who have given a shit about the bands I have been involved with since 2005, and for people to have that kind of time for me means more than I could explain. If I mean that much to you as well... that's nice to know. So thank you.
Now that Crashpoint is gigging regularly, a few times a month at least, we're starting to experience first hand some of the things you've been saying for years about people supporting local music, or not, as is often the case with us. It's hard stuff to swallow, we're a good band but we have a following of maybe 5 people after a year. You get all the bands in magazines saying 'never give up,' which is easy to say and a lot harder to do, I won't deny some of the fun from playing gigs is starting to run thin.
But no matter what happens to Crashpoint now, we won't forget the guys who've supported us all the way through our career.
John, Moll, I'm sure you've still got a lot left to achieve, so do what you've got to do, give me a shout when there's something you want to share, we will always be here to listen!

Hi everyone, thanks so much for all your kind words, it was quite a heart rending decision as it has been part of our lives for years, but we honestly felt the show had run its course, we had done what we originally set out to do and more.
Moll and myself have had a fantastic time but we do need to ease back a bit and spend a bit more us time together, that said we will still be doing the odd show plus all our other projects..
Thanks and love to you all
Moll & John xx
