So !! 6.30 am the alarm goes off, i get out of bed, one foot on the floor then the other and SNAP !!!!! It felt like an elastic band had snapped in my foot.

All of a sudden i couldnt put any weight on my right foot very painful.. Moll takes me over to Chichester Hospital and after careful examination its seems i have snapped the tendon which also caused the arch in my right foot to drop. NOT GOOD

The result is i'm now on crutches and tablets to reduce the pain and swelling so i can ...

Just took delivery of some Behringer XM 8500 Vocal Mikes, i bought these cheap mikes after reading good things in reviews, they are supposed to be as good as Shure SM 58's ( Yeah Right ).

I must admit i use a lot of Behringer gear, its well priced and works very well both for live and studio.

Back to the XM 8500, i plugged it into the desk, got some levels up and have to admit its good, damn good ! I put an SM58 in the next channel and the only difference was the XM 8500 was much louder ...

As most of the regular visitors on this forum know, when i'm not involved in music i work in a day care centre for people with Dementia & Alzheimers.

Bit by bit i have introduced day care radio, and also a monthly TV show based on a lending library foundation, the tv pilot went down really well and the radio show is well established.
Having heard Kerry & Simon play live i asked them if they have a current demo which i could pass on their behalf to some promotors i know.

The only demo they had was a BBC recording when Kerry was just 15. Since then Kerrys voice has gone from strength to strength.

After a quick chat we all decided it would be a good idea to get an up to date Biog and demo done. Hopefully in December we can begin the recordings using the studio with Moll doing some P.R photo's for them.

Over the week end we have had a few high winds and heavy rain in down town Yapton.. Usual stuff, fences blown out, some roads pretty well flooded, but so far no major problems.

Which brings me on to my next point. What would the scenario have been if developers had have got their way and concereted over 910 acres of wheat & cornfields ? Without putting in the infrastructure, new roads new drains etc.

Now i'm not an expert, but all that rain running off tarmac & concrete would ...

As you know David has now returned to the states, he will be back next year. The recording went really well with both of us coming up with some really good idea's. Some of the new equipment i have purchased worked seamlessly and the tracks are crystal clear.

From a recording point of view Davids music is good to work on as he is an acoustic artist and thats how the stuff is presented in the studio, Its good to watch a track grow with other parts added.

So far we have around five tracks ...

A lot of the time when I'm at work and take a Lloyds TSB card, specifically the one with the Olympic 2012 design, I have to do a security check on it. This involves ringing people up at whatever passes for their security centre, speak to some foreign person (sounds racist but sometimes I have to ask these people to repeat themselves 3 times before I finally understand what they've said,) getting an authorisation ...

In the past few weeks the studio has been worked to death, as most of you know David Francis flew in from NY to start recording his new album with me, after 7 days we have a few guide tracks and two tracks in pre production stage, both David and i are over the moon with the results, David will be flying back over in the coming months for more recording. I hope you don't mind me using the forum to ask for any suggestions and advice you may have. Knowing that between you the Global Villagers have hosted EliteFest & Xmas by the Cut, not to mention helping to keep bulldozers off the green fields of Sussex I'd really welcome your input.

I have taken on the running of a monthly gig - nominally an acoustic night, but that doesn't have to be rigid - here in Leicester. This follows on from the gig David Francis did here a few ...

Hi there...

I've been asking a few people this question, the reason being that somebody I know who happens to work in schools recently asked a bunch of teenage girls who their role model was. Almost all of them replied things like 'Katie Price, Jade Goody, Paris Hilton' and the like. When asked why, the answers ran along the lines of 'They've got big houses and lots of money, they don't have to do anything...' and all of a sudden the moral panicks about these people being role models for ...
